Activité
The Unit for Catalysis and Solid State Chemistry (UCCS) is a laboratory focused on Energy and Sustainable Development issues. The laboratory is organized along three departments:
- heterogeneous catalysis,
- catalysis
- molecular chemistry, and solid-state chemistry.
Our research activities, based on fundamental and applied approaches, include catalytic biomass conversion, ne chemicals, plant-based chemistry, pollution abatement, alternative fuels, nuclear fuels and wastes, fuel cells and eco-compatible materials.
Compétences & savoir-faire
• Synthesis of molecular and iono-covalent compounds; • Development of advanced characterization methods with ab-initio calculations; • Implementation and characterization of catalytic processes
Produits, technologies & services
We propose services to industrial partners such as: expertise in the design of catalytic solutions (heterogeneous, homogeneous, hybrid), setting-up of pro¬cesses from lab-scale to semi-pilot - ex¬pertise in the synthesis of (mixed) oxide materials, glasses, textured materials, polymers - expertise in materials charac¬terization (X rays diffraction, NMR, AFM, MEB, XPS-LEIS-TOF SIMS...).
