MICROBIOLOGIE MOLÉCULAIRE ET BIOCHIMIE STRUCTURALE

The aims of our research unit are to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis and biology of micro-organisms. We are interested in molecular and macromolecular interactions in functional, structural and dynamic terms. In addition to studying the bacterial cell cycle, intracellular signalling, membrane transport, modulation of cellular functions and host-pathogen interactions, we are also studying the mechanisms of action of inhibitors and the resistance mechanisms developed by cells. To achieve our objectives, we use cell biology, bioinformatics and biochemistry approaches that are complemented by structural biology approaches to microbial proteins and the complexes in which they are involved.
