Lactips thermoplastic pellet is a 100% biosourced material that can be transformed with the current processes of plastics processing (extrusion inflation, injection, ...) Its properties make it a specialty material soluble both hot and cold (leaves no residue), completely biodegradable (possibility of obtaining eco-labels), biosourced (low aquatic toxicity), printable (allows to highlight brands and apply marketing elements), gas barrier (consumer safety and practicality) and edible (may be an ingredient or package). Industrialised and marketed internationally, the material is suitable for various applications (agri-food, detergent, cosmetics, buildings...) to transform flexible packaging that is not biodegradable and substitute single-use plastics.
