Activité
Historically, the LVA was created to make the link between the dynamics of structures and acoustics. The "Vibro-acoustic" research axis is therefore naturally the oldest in the Laboratory.
The Laboratory's scientific work in this field is internationally recognized and has initiated close collaboration with the transport industry (aviation, automobile, heavy goods vehicles, rail, etc.).
Along with the study of acoustic radiation (from source to noise), the laboratory has developed skills and original methods in the identification and localization of sources (from noise to source). This line of research is subject to a very strong demand from industry since identifying the source is the possibility of acting before the transmission of noise.
