Activité
The Rheology and Processes Laboratory (UMR 5520) was created in 1992, during the restructuring of the Mechanics Institute of Grenoble (IMG). It is a Joint Research Unit between the CNRS, Grenoble INP and the University of Grenoble Alpes which is dedicated to the rheology of complex fluids, processes and their intensification.
Produits, technologies & services
Our research activities relate to two major disciplines: "complex fluid mechanics" with a focus on multiphase fluids and microfluidic approaches, and "process engineering" with recognized expertise in ultrasonic intensification and a rich activity around composites biosourced products, boosted by our partnerships within the Institut Carnot PolyNat.
These disciplines are currently divided into three themes:
- Dynamics and Transfers in Complex Fluids (DyFCo)
- Rheo-physics of Soft Matter (RhyMM)
- Processes, Shaping and Intensification (ProMI)
