Our mission is to provide our partners and customers with innovative scientific and technological solutions to accelerate the development of their products by:
Designing and implementing tailor-made technological solutions to open up new fields of opportunity or overcome technical barriers identified in their developments;
Producing robust, high-quality data that meets industry standards.
Since its creation, the mission of the Institut Lumière Matière Technologies has been to strengthen and perpetuate French excellence in physics and chemistry. We use light (photon, laser, wave) to shape and probe matter at different scales. Our global and interdisciplinary approach, our know-how and our cutting-edge tools are at your disposal to help you advance your R&D projects and boost your competitiveness. We can work with you on TRL (Technology Readiness Level) projects from 2 to 7, i.e. from design to prototype.

Organised into three materials centres, our technology platform is a unique place to develop, synthesise and characterise materials, with the support of our modelling experts, for strategic and growth-generating areas of the economy: energy, health, instrumentation, defence, Watches and Jewellery and Photonics.
In particular, mass and ion mobility spectrometry, elemental and structural analysis using vibrational and optical spectrometry, and the synthesis of inorganic and organic thin films using PLD.
