Activité

The objective of the Polymer Materials Engineering (IMP) laboratory is to develop a global material approach through macromolecular chemistry strategies, coupled or not with physics and physico-chemistry approaches, materials development functions and system integration.

Compétences & savoir-faire

Chemistry of Synthetic and Natural Polymers Structure and Rheology of Polymers-Processes & Simulation Physical and Functional Properties of Polymer-based Materials.

Produits, technologies & services

The IMP Laboratory has an original position at the national and international levels in polymer material science. The laboratory integrates various scientific skills related to polymer science (macromolecular chemistry, rheology, processing and reactive pro- cessing, physics ...) but also the research abilities required to address interfaces with other fields (catalysis, chemical engineering or biology). The IMP develops activities from basic research to applicative goals, from synthesis of new macromolecular architectures and formulation of polymers to the establishment of structure-properties relationships. The IMP laboratory is the privileged partner of a lot of companies (major groups and SME) working in the different areas of polymer industries.
