SMS ID is a research laboratory that strives for excellence in its academic research while conducting joint research with partners. The laboratory’s mission is to meet the needs of industry and society in the fields of construction and the environment, with areas of expertise encompassing soil, materials, and structures. The lab focuses on issues related to the reinforcement of soil and geotechnical engineering works, pollution and depollution, landslides and structural failures and vulnerabilities, structural robustness during operation, and the design of innovative materials.
