Activité
École Centrale de Lyon (Centrale Lyon) is a public scientific, cultural, and professional institution (EPSCP) founded in 1857. Since 2021, École Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne (ENISE) has been integrated into École Centrale de Lyon as an internal school. Centrale Lyon has campuses in Lyon-Écully and Saint-Étienne. In 2024-2025, the institution had 3,094 enrolled students (undergraduates and apprentices) and 583 staff, including 220 teachers and teacher-researchers and 107 research staff. The educational offering covers a continuum from post-baccalaureate to doctoral level. Research in engineering and information sciences and in the exact sciences is conducted within six joint research units with the CNRS, in partnership with industrial players, major public organizations, and international partners to provide relevant responses to current societal challenges.
