CENTRE DES MATÉRIAUX DES MINES D’ALÈS (C2MA)

The activities of the Centre des Matériaux des Mines d’Alès concern the development and the study of innovating materials in the field of polymer materials, matériaux pour le génie civil. Environmental issues related to materials are a major topic for the Centre.

The topics are the following:
- advanced polymer materials
- structures and materials for civil engineering
- interactions of materials and their environment.

C2MA is a research and high education centreworking in the following areas :
- advanced polymer materials composites with natural fibres, nanocomposites, polymer blends, mechanical behaviour during lifetime, fire reaction, recycling of polymer and composites, life cycle analysis
- materials and structures of civil engineering stability of suspensions, light concretes and recycled , durabilitéy of mortars and concretes
- interactions of materials and environment - psychosensorial properties, contamination of indoor air by volatile and semivolatile compounds present in materials. C2MA carries out research in partnership with companies and public institutions.
