Activité
After 15 years of research in ecological chemistry into the ChimEco laboratory, Pr. Claude Grison joined forces with Technofounders to create BioInspir in early 2020, with the objective of commercializing the production of biosourced and natural molecules on a contract basis for the sectors of the cosmetics and fine chemistry.
BioInspir selects certain plant species capable of biosorbing metals contained in natural or industrial effluents. The use of these plants makes possible the creation of filters to capture metals, and from them, to design ecocatalysts used for the synthesis of products with high added value.
Today, the company has a library of molecules that evolves day by day. New molecules are developed every week, either on a contract basis for clients, or on complex molecules for many companies.
Compétences & savoir-faire
BioInspir creates a new sector of ecological catalysis and synthesizes bio-sourced and bio-inspired products for the cosmetics and fine chemicals industries.
Produits, technologies & services
The technology operated by BioInspir is based on two innovative concepts:
The first is the “Biosorption” capacity of certain plant species for the decontamination of metals present in industrial effluents. The decontamination process relies for the first time on the use of dead, powdered and abundant aquatic plants.
The second is the concept of ecocatalysis, which has freed all of the limitations specific to existing methods via a new generation of stable and recyclable ecological functional materials: ecocatalysts. They have several reactive interfaces whose properties can be controlled from the intensity and nature of the metal / substrate interaction sought. These are linked to the biodiversity of plant species used in biosorption.
