ATMO AUVERGNE-RHONE-ALPES

Atmo AuRA is the observatory approved by the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy for monitoring and information on air quality in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This association's main missions are to monitor the air quality of its region, to support decision-makers in the development and monitoring of action plans aimed at improving air quality and to inform the population. at any point in the region on air quality, as specified in particular in the regulations. Its action falls within the framework of the general interest and the public service mission defined by article L.221-3 of the Environmental Code.

Atmo Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes structures its activity around 5 fundamental missions : - Observe, through a monitoring device responsible for production, the banking and dissemination of reference data on air quality. - Support decision-makers in the preparation and follow-up of mid- and long-term action plans on air and related issues (energy, climate, urban nuisances) as well as in emergency situations (pollution episodes, incidents or Industrial accidents) - Communicate with the citizens and invite them to act in favor of an improvement of the air quality. - Anticipate by taking into account the emerging issues of air pollution and new technologies by setting up partnerships in the context of experiments, innovations and European programs. - To manage the associative strategy and the territorial animation, to organize the mutualisations while ensuring the coherence with the national level.
