AMValor is the subsidiary of Arts et Métiers for research valorisation. The focus at the institute in Chambéry is the evaluation of the environmental impacts through the whole life cycle of a product/service, BtoB or BtoC, and their integration in the design and industrialisation steps. Tools for environmental analysis (like LCA) are used to support eco-design and particularly the improvement of the processes and value chains for the treatment of end-of-life goods. Life cycle engineering of complex products containing plastics is a major area of work.
